Linux is easy unless you try to make your fucking drivers work
People forget that most of the time no one wants to google and put shit in terminal to make your, I dunno, controller work
Idk "linux is easy" bros piss me off because the easy part is for people who are already well versed in technology and know what exactly to google. For everyone else it's a big learning curve
Like. Please stop lying or misleading people and be upfront about actual stuff linux may put them through

If you're streaming, it's going to be ass to make things work if you have NVIDIA.

If you're an artist, it's going to be ass to make your tablet buttons work correctly and most programs have no official linux support, so you'll need wine and pray that it works

in my experience with linux driver support, there are two options:

  • you get hardware that is generic enough or just plays nicely with linux, in which case you have awesome driver support out of the box and never have to think about it again!
  • you get literally anything else and suffer through Eternal Torture

the good case is way better than windows but the bad case is fucking terrible

#i-feel-like-in-order-to-have-a-good-linux-experience-you-have-to-buy-linux-friendly-hardware-first #which-sucks #part-of-it-is-sadly-manufacturers-not-making-drivers-:/ #linux
@btrfs-unofficial @vv0ltz Im facing the eternal torture option with my current saffire audio interface.. not looking forward to it.
