I had forgot that Bit.ly enshittified itself, so I built my own short link redirector on top of Netlify yesterday. It was so easy that writing the article about it actually took longer.

@knossos Yeah I use them in precisely two places: print media and presentation media. The motivation yesterday was an RSVP link on a kids birthday invitation. Otherwise I'm pretty opposed to their use in normal places where character count isn't at a premium.
