@onekind as he said, it’s probably more related to the fact that most Americans until recently were automatically cut, unless you were poor and home birthed and therefore less likely to get tested for autism or anything else
@stufromoz I regret to advise that even homebirthed kids got circumcised 😨
but I appreciate that at least he understands that correlation is about covariance in the *differences* between two groups, not just simple exposure.
@onekind it was less likely, but still a thing, yes (depends on who was organising home birth etc)
@stufromoz don't even start me on the huge diversity of patented auto-circumcision devices and their hugely diverse efficacy rates. or the barbers who offered circumcision as a side service.

@stufromoz yep! and they did all sorts of other minor surgeries too, and probably still do in parts of the South
