This group is “DeGoogle Yourself”, and people are talking about needing to watch YT?! Interesting. It’s not degoogle for sure, but hey… :-)

How about starting to make it worthwhile to use other sites than googles? I mean - go to an alternative, start following some content you like, or make your own.

It’s pretty sad, especially in a group like this, to talk about your addiction and how you can’t degoogle.

There is content on YouTube that is not available available anywhere else. Using an alternative frontend with a local account like NewPipe is de-googling to an extend. If that is not de-googling then neither is using something like StartPage for search.

The whole point of de-googling is limiting as much as possible your data exposure to Google. Completely eliminating is impossible, unless you are fine with not being able to access the majority of the web since due to the use of reCAPCHAv3.

Please give me an example of content that you can’t find anywhere else?

I feel like you have to be trolling to ask for an example of a youtube video you can’t find outside youtube. Obviously most creators don’t crosspost their videos to something like bilibili or dailymotion or peertube.

Why are you trying to gatekeep getting away from google (degoogling) by claiming you have to completely abandon anything google owns for it to count? You’re being weird.
