iOS no longer includes the Nicky voice (the one I use in the Wordhord) and many other VoiceOver voices on device by default.

I'm pretty sure I can't trigger this download from in the app so I'll need to provide rather cumbersome directions to show users how to download it in settings.

I've submitted FB17834189 but I doubt Apple will change their minds and include these voices given my use is kinda niche.

I think this bug might be fixed in iOS 26 beta 6? I noticed the Nicky voice and the others are now included and can't be removed from the device!

Still no reply to my feedback but I hope that means it was an error back in iOS 18.5 (when they disappeared) and not a choice they made to reduce the download size or something.

Looks like this bug has been un-fixed in the iOS 26 RC. Thanks Apple!

Nicky VoiceOver voice (and many others) no longer bundled with the OS -> FB17834189

Once you download the Nicky voice it can't be deleted (like the enhanced versions can). This really makes it seem like a bug...

Uh oh, the missing VoiceOver voice bug is even worse. When upgrading from iOS 26 to 26.0.1 it DELETED the Nicky voice! Maybe it's trying to free up space or something but this is a really major bug that will delete the primary voice used for the Wordhord with EVERY OS update.

I haven't had the time to test the 26.1 beta but they better have this fixed.
