@gleick Totally forgot about that. It's so Argentina can pay back loans and keep companies afloat long enough for Trumps cronies to dump their stock and exchange the proceeds for dollars. Dollars Argentina did not, until recently, have. I learned all this from Paul Krugman btw. It pains me, but I can't but recommend his substack.
