Cormac Herley@shriramk Just went through IST last week. Word to the wise: it can be 30 mins between gates. The major stuff like the palace, haga Sofia, the cistern will worth seeing. Enjoy!

I actually chose to take 12 hour layovers both ways (cheaper, and more fun)… which means I will probably lose track of time and be running to get to my gate. (-:
@shriramk taxi from IST to center is about an hour and 50 euros. The palace is closed on Tuesdays. Ignore all the skip the line websites you find online for palace, cistern, haga Sofia. It's an amazing place. Enjoy!!
@cormacherley Took the bus both ways, worked out great. But boy, even after all the warnings I've heard, this airport is *still* bigger than I thought, and nothing is helped by random doors being closed, etc. Wow.
