Muro deGrizecoFound a 300 baud acoustic modem once along with a VT-100 terminal, at a thrift store.
Got it to work, played with it a bit, then gave it to a friend on a limited income, who used it to connect to a community unix system for email.
Maybe in the late 80s?
She was so thrilled.
Said her cat hated the modems screaming and bid under the bed.
