This group is “DeGoogle Yourself”, and people are talking about needing to watch YT?! Interesting. It’s not degoogle for sure, but hey… :-)

How about starting to make it worthwhile to use other sites than googles? I mean - go to an alternative, start following some content you like, or make your own.

It’s pretty sad, especially in a group like this, to talk about your addiction and how you can’t degoogle.

YouTube is usually the final straw in degoogling. It’s not like there is much of a competition with other services really.

There is peer tube and odyssey which exist as alternatives, but the one common problem with them is the lack of educational content or other types of content.

So if you want a person to explain you a concept you don’t understand - you are destined to go to YouTube.

What did you do before YT? You know, there’s a whole internet full of stuff. I know it takes a little effort, but it’s worth while.

And the reason why there isn’t much competition from other sites is, that you don’t use them. Go use them, and the content will improve.
