This group is “DeGoogle Yourself”, and people are talking about needing to watch YT?! Interesting. It’s not degoogle for sure, but hey… :-)
How about starting to make it worthwhile to use other sites than googles? I mean - go to an alternative, start following some content you like, or make your own.
It’s pretty sad, especially in a group like this, to talk about your addiction and how you can’t degoogle.
There is content on YouTube that is not available available anywhere else. Using an alternative frontend with a local account like NewPipe is de-googling to an extend. If that is not de-googling then neither is using something like StartPage for search.
The whole point of de-googling is limiting as much as possible your data exposure to Google. Completely eliminating is impossible, unless you are fine with not being able to access the majority of the web since due to the use of reCAPCHAv3.
Please give me an example of content that you can’t find anywhere else?

I really dont know what answer you expect on that. It’s no secret that the vast majority of creators only upload their videos on YouTube. Should they mirror them on something like Peertube? Well, yeah, but this is not in your control.

Please answer to me honestly. Do you block all Google related domains on the DNS level including anything related to Google reCaptcha? If yes, please tell me how exactly you are using the web in 2025?

It’s a simple question, but I guess you just proved my point here. It was your claim, that there are exclusive content on YT, that you can’t find anywhere else. A claim that didn’t hold.
Tell me, why do you expect an answer, when you refuse to give one? I don’t have to block every domain to not use a service. Are you really that clueless?
Next you’ll be saying that I use google, when I read a document someone wrote in Google Docs, right? 🙃
I asked you to give me an example of some content that only exist on YT. Bear in mind, it has to be some content that you need, and can’t find anywhere else. There are, obviously some creators that post only on YT, but what they post about, you can find lots of other places. There’s no real knowledge that you can only find on YT… But feel free to give me an example (that’s just 1 example I ask for), and that’s too much for you.
