My LG TV, which I have had for 5 and half years, received an official system update update last week from LG

Since then, it intermittently flashes "wired network connected" and "wired network disconnected"

My warranty was for 5 years

LG won't talk to me

100s of people who have this tv are in the same position

I am forced to buy another TV

The environmental cost alone !

My bf, who is more technically minded than myself, has done a full factory reset - to no avail.

@Geri I've had this very issue in the past. I honestly can't remember how I fixed it but I think I might have switched to wireless for a while but I'm back to a wired connection now. This fix on youtube could also be worth a shot, it involves turning the automatic location detection off, which I can imagine being the kind of thing that constantly forces a connection check https://youtu.be/3yQxXxZttXY
LG TV keeps dropping internet connection super easy fix

@chillcakes ty Hilly. I have looked at this but since I am based in the UK I have no ' automatic connection ' option available to me. Xx
@Geri I'm sorry to hear that, I'm in the UK too and the "Set Automatically" location option is there on my LG TV, your model may be different. There are other possible solutions online which are related to setting a static IP and static DNS server in your router settings - these could be worth looking into, but again these options may not be there depending on your router. I hope you find a solution as these sorts of connectivity problems are very frustrating.
