+ btw this is how they’re talking in DHH’s official Omarchy discord.
They fully know what it’s all about. There’s no ambiguity here.
@hailey y’know i can believe some of them are earnest.
i actually worked with a guy like this recently, in that he was very good at Computer but had never read a book in his life, had all sorts of weird gaps in his general knowledge. Every day you’d be like “you’re almost thirty how do you not know —-?” and he’d act shy and be like uh i dunno
@hailey my mental model of this is more like,
complete idiot reads the post, is too vacant to understand the subtext (which the posts are intentionally very carefully written to do)
and so they’re left to choose between giving the benefit of the doubt to the powerful man or believing the scores of marginalized weirdoes
so they choose to not believe the freaks.
@hailey Nirav's response @frameworkcomputer
"We deliberately create a big tent, because we want open source software to win. We don’t partner based on individuals’ or organizations’ beliefs, values, or political stances outside of their alignment with us on increasing the adoption of open source software."
So perhaps, he'd be happy to take funding from North Korea since they work on a truck load of open source software ?
