@glynmoody The way it seems to work is that the European Commission needs to confirm economic coercion within 4 months. It then has to present its findings to the Council which has 8-10 weeks to approve/reject it. If approved, the Commission then makes a request to the third party to stop, as the first step is dialog. Then enter negotiations if they don’t agree. That’s not a bazooka if it can take up to 6 months!

As you can imagine with a highly bureaucratic organisation, in case the Commission decides to do something it would be according to actions agreed with trading and consumers associations (I.e. more time) and with the agreement of all member countries (good luck with Orban or Fico)
@lucazade doesn't sound hopeful...
