I've noticed that at my company newly hired principal and distinguished engineers are generally remote. The company policy does allow this for senior staff and above. I'm curious if that is a general perk now of being a very high ranking ic? Also will we end up in a world where all the tank and file is in the office and all the non-management leadership is not?
@philiph that doesn't seem sustainable to me. But, whatever we do end up with will look quite different than what we there before aside from fully remote companies
