I deleted my post about the Discord hack because the compromise was a third-party support service and not a third-party dedicated age verification system. Collecting user IDs is still bad and they are hard to protect, but being accurate in my posts is also important.
@evacide this third party support service was responsible for handling appeals from Discord’s AI-based age determinations, which would be reversed by providing an ID. What’s the difference?

@evacide I had a ticket compromised regarding age verification, lucky I didn't have to send anything sensitive.

(Ironically?) I was asking them to use my previous developer verification status or credit card instead of me providing an ID...
