TIL that Protonmail's 25MB attachment limit is more like 17MB because everything bloats when it's encrypted. And I don't see any way to disable that. You can use links to ProtonDrive, but my experience with that has been that it's not too friendly for the average receiver to figure out, plagued with permission issues, etc.

@aetus it requires a proton account to even use share links. It’s a scam for those without an account :/

Haven’t been the happiest about that. I bitched to support but that went nowhere.

@colinstu @aetus whichcis really absurd, because I'm confident @protonprivacy will not only run #ClamAV agaist all #uploads but also limit bandwith & number if downloads as well as remove reported malicious content and keep hashes of banned files to prevent #reuploads

At least @monocles doesn't have these restrictions…
