Litchralee_v6@hackaday It's wild to me that the latest incarnations of fax machines will persist the legacy of the dial-up modem, outlasting dial-up internet. All while the invention of the fax machine itself predates the Internet and telephone networks.
@litchralee_v6 In a sense, perhaps because the fax machine has no exact functional replacement whereas the dial-up modem was directly superceded by better technology.
Amazing the fax still lives on given e-mail exists!
