The Wikidata Embedding Project is now publicly available!

This new vector database makes the structured knowledge from Wikidata directly accessible for building generative AI applications.
For the first time, AI developers can integrate the open, multilingual, and verifiable data in Wikidata into large language models (LLMs).

@wikidata

If you've been waiting for an embedding of Wikidata or an MCP for Wikidata, today is your day!

I'm looking forward to seeing what people are going to build with it.

If you are interested in some more coverage about the embedding and MCP, here is what The Verge and Techcrunch have to say:

Wikimedia wants to make it easier for you and AI developers to search through its data

Wikipedia’s sister project Wikidata just got a new database that is easy for AI systems to read.

@nightrose @wikidata what I really would like is having the posibility to embed Wikidata results in... Wikipedia!
@nightrose @wikidata Cool, when can I expect to have a chat with Wikidata?
