*sigh* Heard this morning my favorite password/data locker app, Minimalist, is closing up shop. Can anyone recommend a good replacement to migrate to? Ideal features:
• Secure (duh)
• macOS/iOS/iPadOS compatible
• Sync, preferably iCloud
• Flexible records: Add and remove arbitrary fields of different types, include image attachments
• Clean interface
Let me know, thanks ✌️
@cooner I’ve had a good experience with Proton Pass. It doesn’t use iCloud for sync, but it is cross-platform and syncs over Proton servers. 2FA and file attachment support are subscription features, however.
@SuperSluether I don’t mind a subscription if it’s reasonable and helps keep the lights on. :) I’ll look into it, thanks!
@cooner I use Keepass and stick the file online in my onedrive, which I can download onto my phone. Free, no sub
@cooner Been using 1Password here since about May 2023 and have been very happy overall with the experience. Ticks all the boxes that you have for desired features and I feel the subscription cost is reasonable overall at a little over $3 a month when paid annually.
@Westhoff Yeah, I don’t mind paying a subscription to support a developer as long as it’s reasonable. I’ll look into that one too! Thanks!
@cooner I can definitely recommend Bitwarden. It does store in their own cloud, which might be best for having such important data being backed up properly.
@cooner I'll throw in a vote for Bitwarden. I *think* it'll let you store image attachments on any site.
