Quote functionality needs to be moved from the Boost button to the Reply button. That was a UI/UX decision that's added unnecessary friction to the simplest form of engagement on Mastodon.
@Perrin42 @MastodonEngineering I think that's a good idea, but might be annoying when writing threads.
A separate button should work in the web UI without making the buttons too close to each other, for mobile apps there might be a horizontal space issue there. Would be interesting to hear from somebody with limited mobility in their hands on that one.
