Inspecting the captured MOV, the audio format reads MPEG-4 AAC, 48000 Hz 74.14 kbit/s mono. I have no idea if that is the codec moving audio from APP3 to iPhone and it is being re-encoded by Camera app, or not.

I also have AirPods Pro 1, and no matter what I'm doing APP1 is never presented as a mic option, even after using APP3 for this. (Darn!)
