Tomorrow is the Folsom Street Fair, San Francisco's annual celebration of leather, rubber, and kink. The fair draws several hundred thousand people to the city... and for the last four decades it has been part of my life. I love going down there and hanging out with friends.

Anyway, here's a street portrait from the fair.

Edit: I like this portrait... and it was bugging me to hide it behind a content warning. So I am opening it up and deleting the warning.

Hope Folsom's a blast, Bob!

@TheEddieShow
Thanks, Eddie. I may go early and leave before the streets become gridlocked with people. Sometime around 1:00 p.m. it becomes nearly impossible to squeeze through the crushing crowd in front of the Powerhouse.

@BobHorowitz

I'd get there early with bagel and coffee, and a camera for photos of folks setting up and early arrivals. Found a few models over the years. This is "Coach" after Folsom (1998).

@TheEddieShow Oh that's a good portrait.
*waves hi to coach*

@BobHorowitz

Not a sharp scan. But that's what I have atm. x

@BobHorowitz

And thanks.

Me: "What's your name?"
Model: "Just call me 'Coach'!"

@BobHorowitz I thought I might die in a bottleneck there last time I went, it gets a little crowded. It's hard not to make double entendres lol

@sunumbral A little crowded? That's an understatement ๐Ÿ˜

Hey funny thing as I was about to post this photo. I've only used content warning once, when I posted a street portrait taken in Chinatown of two slabs of pork perched on a delivery man's shoulders.

Mastodon remembered the content warning I used on that photo and suggested I label this one with the same title: Meat Headed to the Butcher.

Dark humor ๐Ÿคฃ

@BobHorowitz It's a meat grinder in spots ๐Ÿ˜†
...or maybe it's the perfect image for "Mondays" ๐Ÿ˜…
Great portrait and have fun ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป
