@carnage4life I've been wondering the same, but I think they'll find a way. They get to say what's critical and force those people to work without pay. So they'll shut down everything good. Maybe nothing but ICE raids by goons who are now extra mad they're not getting paid.

Its the ensuing mass unemployment of federal workers that will be the main difference, the federal gvt employs ~3mil people, or ~2% of all employee jobs in the US, and the regime is trying to find ways to stop paying/get rid of as many of them as fast as possible. Shutting down the gvt is a very expedient way to terrorize that entire workforce and convince many to leave, esp if they can keep it shut down for a long time, giving them chances to replace/eliminate those workers/jobs
