I already said this elsewhere, but writing this week's Skill Issue is exceptionally difficult. I have some very particular feelings about what's happening...

I hope everyone has a good weekend and gets at least a couple days without reading any DHH posts. I'm gonna play a couple hockey games, do some surfing, celebrate my dad's birthday, and work on a side project. 😌

@jardo It's a shame about the DHH douchebaggery, but you're right that there continues to be a huge contingent of caring folks. I'm delighted that AndrΓ© trademarked bundler: power move. I'm finding it interesting to compare the happenings here with the NixOS community, where there's been a vacuum of leadership and deep divisions over overtly right wing personalities and military sponsors, and there continues to be in-fighting back and forth. The same divisions we see in wider society can easily take hold in tech communities, particularly because of the manosphere/techbro intersection combines with the impersonality of online communication.
