@gwaldby in my town they rehome (slightly smaller but related) brown bears in the wildlife park near me, and they aren't even native to my country!

Incidentally the bear enclosure (quite a lot of space) at the wildlife park is next to the railway line (the main line to and from London), with only a thin but robust mesh fence - it keeps the bears in but can be easily seen through and looks almost invisible from a distance, so many train passengers have got quite a surprise 😁 🐻
