Yes. I was only there for 2 years, a small fraction of your time, but agree with everything. I met more people from backgrounds different to me than at any other time in my life, and it was wonderful.

@codepo8 Great post, Christian. I recognise much of what you wrote and agree London was great back then. I lived there from 1998-2016 and enjoyed it all—even the sketchy bits. You could afford decent digs a stone's throw from the action without selling your soul or hitching your wagon to a demon. That seems to be the root issue now—it's simply become too expensive for young, creative people from all over to come together and generate that giddy energy the city once had.
