@gamingonlinux Isnt Heldivers II also an extraction shooter? (but not loot)
Tony Hawks Pro Skater 1+2, 3-4 exist^^
@gamingonlinux As a monster tamer nerd I can definitely second Coromon and Cassette Beasts as great alternatives to Pokemon (Temtem is a bit more mid but it is a fun little romp. I haven't played Palworld yet so I can't give my opinions on it).
I don't know if Beastieball works on Steam Deck, Steam OS, etc... but if it does that would be another good Pokemon alternative. Its a monster taming RPG with turn based mechanics with a volleyball themed twist.
first comment on Fairlight 84's steam page is from someone getting banned for using Linux, so it probably shouldn't be on the list

@gamingonlinux As good as it sounds initially, it's a terrible suggestion.
If you go to a restaurant and order a goulasch soup, you wouldn't be very happy if the waiter told you "sorry, but since there's a blue candle on your table, you can only order the minestrone."
When you want to play game X, there are no alternatives - there are just OTHER games.
