Folks, if some of us post links to paywalled articles, telling us it's paywalled doesn't help bc we can't change that. There are only so many gift links available.

Either subscribe, or, try Reader Only or https://archive.ph

That's all I can offer.

@GottaLaff You’re absolutely right to respond. I’ll just note that in some cases, if you yourself subscribe and are logged in, you may not even know a source is paywalled.

@michaelgemar That too, but beside the point.

I subscribe to get good investigative reporting, even when I despise the source. I'll share that reporting, but for someone to say" It's paywalled' is pointless... I can't change that.

@GottaLaff I certainly get that. (It’s always funny when people get righteously indignant over stuff they get for free.)

@michaelgemar Someone just said I should post the 2 options I just posted IN EVERY ONE OF MY POSTS with links.

Like it's up to me, my responsibility.

@GottaLaff Ugh, it’s not too hard to educate yourself on how to resolve paywall issues. So sorry you have to deal with complaints over something so trivial.
@wingstriker Thanks. One more reason I'm posting much less often here.
@GottaLaff Agreement. Me: Oh crap another paywall. Paywall: Give me some money. Me: This story isn't that important to me. I'm out of here.
@GottaLaff 12ft.io is also sometimes a good option.

If you have access, you may be in a better position to obtain a full archive link than someone who does not have a subscription. If no one else with access has archived the article, then archive will not help.

That is, if you have access, you can share an archive link.
