I hope that Ruby Central's board will re-examine its decision to unilaterally seize control over IP which it does not have a moral or legal right to claim exclusive rights to, not even "temporarily". I don't know whether they acted in bad faith, or in ignorant confusion. Regardless, providing financial support to contributors does not confer ownership rights over an OSS project. They keep falsely conflating the two, to defend the indefensible.
