These accounts are pretty useful on the Fediverse, they let people follow publications that haven't joined Mastodon etc yet. The links in the posts go directly to the publications' websites, they don't pass through Flipboard.
Also they do theoretically let publications interact with people, Flipboard accounts federate in both directions.
That all may be, but my previous statement stands.
Congrats! 👏 What was the first platform it was on? An email list?
