> A German diplomatic cable obtained by Statewatch shows that 11 member states would like to be able to deport people to any country they wish – even if the person has no connection to it. > While most member states were on board with the Commission’s proposals, 11 member states support deleting the connection criteria altogether: Austria, Bulgaria, Czechia, Cyprus, Finland, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland and Slovakia.
