Steve Purcell@gamble How is the fit and finish on your M4 Air? Mine was surprisingly shoddy, sent it back, and the new one was the same. Protruding edges around base panel, instead of completely smooth like the M1 and M2 machines I had previously.
Adam@sanityinc So funny so say this. Sadly this was purchased to due a broken M2 air and agree the M2 felt a lot nicer. The fit is ok but somehow feels clunkier and heavier
@sanityinc In a hotel currently sorry for the bg š but a rough idea. It sounds like you had an actual build quality defect though?
@gamble and sometimes I'm not terribly convinced the lid is perfectly lined up with the body
@gamble in the end I had work to do, and it was usable, but I'll remain salty about it indefinitely š
@sanityinc Very fair š Iām a little sad to have lost my M2 air for this. But fortunately the build on this one is flush
@gamble It's otherwise at least as good as my midnight M2 (apart from the tragically less awesome colour). It just feels wrong every time I pick it up, and it's surprising how much that bugs me.
