If I understand the Homan thing correctly:

- Last year, undercover FBI agents gave him a bribe, $50,000 in cash.
- The plan was to wait and see whether he followed through with what he was bribed to do once he became part of the new Trump administration, which would strengthen the case.
- But Trump quashed the investigation, and it was dropped.

So, where's the $50,000 of taxpayer money? He just gets to keep it? Did he report it on his taxes?

It's also notable that the incoming administration knew about the Homan investigation (including his acceptance of the bag of cash) and yet still appointed him as Border Czar, a position he currently still holds. So the executive branch is apparently unbothered by this.

Homan isn't Senate-confirmed, and so he's likely considered an "inferior officer". This means there's no clear settled law as to whether he's eligible for impeachment (though that's unlikely with the current congress anyway).

@mattblaze It’s not a bug, it’s a feature.
