What’s the worst app you use every day?

For me, it’s MyFitnessPal, which is clunky and broken and requires a force quit multiple times per week. But it also does what I need and integrates with my trainer’s app.

@lexfri best in class replacement for this one, proper in premium territory: http://macrofactorapp.com
MacroFactor

MacroFactor is a science-backed diet coach and macro tracker app that empowers you to reach your goals without rigidity.

MacroFactor
@JonathanGulbrandsen It looks great! But I’m not a fan of AI-based calorie tracking because it truly has no idea how much your food weighs, which is key for many things. And I have to use MFP to integrate with my trainer’s app through MFP’s shitty, proprietary API.
@lexfri I’ve used their app for 2 years, never touched any of the AI stuff whatsoever. The people behind it are extremely scientific people: strongerbyscience.com
@lexfri but of course fully understood on the trainer integration. I just wanted to say, the AI stuff really isn’t a focus in the app
@lexfri Every app I use has some small problem(s). If it made it to ‘worst,’ I replaced it. But if I have to pick its a tie between all the apps for my daughter’s school and/or doctor (which I don’t use every day, to be fair.)
@lexfri the myQ (chamberlain) app is my worst daily app. And for the record it *was* MFP until I switched to Macro Factor a year ago. Soooo much better.
@lexfri Microsoft Authenticator as part of the whole MS stack. How does it bounce through so many screens!

Just to pile on…

MacroFactor is worth trying. I weigh and enter every meal and it’s, by far, the best macro tracking app I’ve used to date.

@lexfri Not exactly every day, but… If I’m ordering wings or literally anything else, it’s fine, yet trying to order a pizza from the Pizza Hut app takes me to a black screen and I have to force quit.
@lexfri Overcast. Sadly Watch sync has become frustratingly unreliable, yet I subscribe and persevere with it daily because I love everything else about the App. I have sympathy with Marco because I appreciate he is limited by the watch APIs. However previous versions have worked almost flawlessly so I really don’t know what to think.

@lexfri Definitely overcast. Used to be rock solid, but for the last 6-9 months it’s gotten very buggy and crashy

(Currently never saves progress on partially listened to podcasts, which is fun, cause I never stop listening to podcast after starting)
