Have realized I really like this spot and have started regularly snapping photos here, at least one a week, whenever the dog takes us this way on our morning walk. Coincidentally, this was taken at the exact same time as the last one I snapped last week, 6:31 am.

Fun to look back and see how the scene changes from week to week. The neighbor who knocks down part of our field and bales it came through on Wednesday afternoon, making for a very different scene that last week's photo.

Had to zoom way out to get the cool cloud cover this morning, so a bit of a wider shot (and way more field!) than usual.

But between the dramatic clouds and the sun just coming over the horizon, was quite the scene for a few minutes!

Weekly #MorningWalk #Barnscape photos.

A bit of fog this morning. Dog was feeling antsy and it made it hard to get a straight shot. Portrait mode was at 6:38 = exact same time as the one I shared last week - the other was about a minute or two earlier.

Hard to see: but there are big patches of the fields now empty, as farmers around us have taken in their beans. Corn is still up -- probably will be harvested this week. But in the portrait/vertical photo, the yellow to the right of the frame is a section that was previously all soy.

The (very dry!) leaves of the soy plants that are left behind are like a pale, crinkly yellow carpet on the field. It's been so dry this year that they had already dropped most of their leaves before harvesting even began.
