What a shame, Omarchy looked appealing, and I lost all desire to want to install it after the last few weeks. What a liability.
This wasn't meant to be vague. Check the orange website or DHH’s recent X(twitter) posts or blog posts plus the recent Ruby Central debacle plus the last decade or going off the rails moments which always coincide with product launches. So ya. Over it.

I had a few pings about https://archriot.org which looks like what I'm going to try out.

I had several good DMs and several really shitty DMs from people who just want to treat DHH like someone to always assume the best or make excuses for his assholish behavior.

After twenty years of watching him make an ass of himself, he turns it up on every big product launch. If you listen to podcasts he's in, he's open and brags about this.

So no. I'm not assuming the best or giving him a pass.

ArchRiot is the answer to every time you've thought

@webology you are also not missing out on much but a centralised config file compared to just hand rolling it in an hour or two :)
@webology that’s still pretty vague 😅
@kevinrenskers Searching and looking for yourself is vague? 🤷

@webology The orange website has a million posts and nothing on the homepage stood out. I don't have an X account so can't view recent posts. Then I read the first post on his Hey blog... and yeah, not great.

But yea this was more vague than a direct URL ;)

@webology “So ya. Over it.”

I’ve been watching it all play out over the past few weeks and feel exactly the same.

@adamghill @webology Makes me glad I chose Django all those years ago. 🫠
@webology did something happen around Omarchy that I missed?
@webology what happened? Really curious. I have read similar toots in mastodon and Bluesky
