update: i bought a kobo libra color. impressions so far:

- instapaper integration is slick, fast!
- color is surprisingly nice for reading articles
- display is a little less contrast than my kindles, but is more responsive too
- wish it had instapaper highlighting, hopefully that's planned!

@tmcw Any deep thoughts on building a personal long-term archive of articles with highlights and/or notes? There’s no interchangeable format for this, other than HTML I guess.

(I went all in on Readwise and can only read on Kobo via a shaky koreader plugin).

@jmuspratt yeah, i use the obsidian instapaper sync plugin to pull my highlights into text files within obsidian's vault, but that doesn't include the full text. every once in a while i archive instapaper's exports and kick em off to backblaze b2. but yeah, it'd be nice to have another option - especially because instapaper search is pretty bad.
