One more separate thought that came up while working on the occupancy stuff: the cracks in the TigerCenter API are starting to show. Today alone, I’ve noted 4 locations that have incorrectly marked hours. RITZ and Crossroads are both noted as being open according to TigerCenter, but they are not, in fact, and the RIT Dining website correctly shows them as closed.

This is why my secondary project is to try and get in contact with whoever currently maintains TigerCenter, because… 1/2

…it would be really nice to get that fixed, as well as some other issues like Loaded Latke having no description beyond “New dining location”. There’s a badge at the bottom of the TigerCenter landing page that says it was designed by the Student IT Office, but I’ve been told they no longer exist, so that complicates things. My ultimate goal would be to contribute to maintaining the data for this API if possible, because it’s very handy and I’d like to see it get some attention.
