Just found about messaging app "franz" that has native linux support. Seems legit.

Then in the download i came across "appimage". Does not install, just runs it. Is there any downsides for this system of running apps? Yeah something like a huge game would obviously be problem to run with this but for other lighter stuff this seeme like a really user friendly way to manage your programs.

Am i on a right tract here or missing something obiviously wrong?

@patricos Appimages have some cons that you should know about, such as poor desktop integration and higher disk space usage

@xdanep desktop integration? What do you mean by that? I ran franz on appimage and only thing i noticed was that startup was a bit slow but within my patience.
