Wim 🅾→ⓉI did a quick portrait of the Chinese-American movie actress Anna May Wong, from a publicity photo from the 1930s. Pencil, Chinese ink wash and brush on heavy coarse watercolour paper, portrait A4 format.
It's a study for a larger drawing I am planning, based on a different photograph. This is a way to familiarise myself with the face. I have already read a lot about her.
The likeness is not perfect but I think the face has come to life.
