#Turkiye will never give Israel coveted ancient stone: Erdogan

The Turkish president has said that the Biblical-era ancient inscription was found in a tunnel beneath Jerusalem during Ottoman times.

He was referring to the so-called #Siloam or #Silwan inscription, a Hebrew tablet dating back 2,700 years, which is currently held in Istanbul’s archaeology museum.

The inscription was discovered in the late 19th century inside the Siloam tunnel, an ancient aqueduct underneath Jerusalem.

AKA 8 BCE when the Mithraic Wars wrapped up and the Levant became Roman ruled. Prior to Roman rule, the area was Mithraic-ruled, basically under Persians-in-exile rule, so don't anybody think that Iran doesn't also have an interest in archaeology in Palestine, and that's at the very least. As imperial ambitions go, Iran covets the area as its own along with everybody else fighting for it.
