This is my first time having 'Apple Intelligence' Siri on a phone, which is a prerequisite for using ChatGPT in Siri. And ChatGPT via Siri is *so dramatically better* than Siri itself, I wish I could turn off every single one of Apple's responses and just default to ChatGPT. Especially with its ability to automatically screenshot your screen in the request, you can do all kinds of interesting queries. But often Siri thinks *it* can answer something, hijacks the request, and shits the bed
@stroughtonsmith How did you get it in Ireland?
@dylan I think it came to the EU in April on iOS. On macOS, last December
@stroughtonsmith oh… I’ve just upgraded from a 14 Pro and still have the same old Siri, just assumed it wasn’t available here yet. I’m guessing this is the reason 🙃
@stroughtonsmith This is why I map the action button to the ChatGPT app, voice input

@stroughtonsmith the opposite is happening too! Siri can no longer answer basic album info requests like “when did this album come out” when listening to a song in Apple Music. Instead you get ChatGPT asking “what song?”

It was useful in driving contexts and not Siri is mostly even more useless lol
It’s been sending requests it needs to do on-device with context to ChatGPT sans-context.
“The future!”

@stroughtonsmith Are the ChatGPT replies spoken? And is it Siri’s voice?
@mikecane some of them are, yes. Some of them, Siri doesn't bother
@stroughtonsmith I want all voice, dammit. Tx.
