The Meta Ray-Ban Display smart glasses have a high-res visual display large enough to read texts or watch small videos. They come with a Meta Neural Band, a true scientific breakthrough that lets you silently control your glasses with subtle hand gestures. And our Meta Ray-Ban and Oakley Meta glasses have extended battery life, 3K video and more. One really cool thing about these glasses is that the built-in AI can describe your surroundings and help you find things, identify what’s in front of you, and do things like read labels in the grocery store. This could make them particularly valuable for people who are blind or visually-impaired. VA Blind Rehabilitation Centers are issuing Meta Ray-Ban glasses to support blind and low-vision veterans, and the Blinded Veterans Association (BVA) is putting together a guide to teach vets how to use them too. For a year now we’ve had a partnership with Be My Eyes which connects blind and visually-impaired people with sighted volunteers who can see what they see through their AI glasses to talk them through tasks like shopping and cooking. Now, we’re expanding Be My Eyes on Ray-Ban Metas to even more countries and languages.
