@ErisNixie @buncube tbh yeah, there's no escape. people are fucking terminally online for some reason
@SnugglyBunne @ErisNixie you can say that one twice

its easily probably the biggest issue with the transfem community and why i do NOT interact with it on any wider scale anymore
@buncube @ErisNixie i mean it's more of a general thing, the internet unfortunately still reflects the white european and american mind, while everything else gets ignored or worse.
so even minority spaces like queer ones end up repeating the same racist shit
@SnugglyBunne @ErisNixie i really dont understand how it isnt easier. i am white as FUCK. but it REALLY isnt difficult to have the empathy to look at this and see what's actually happening here to people like Ro. Aren't we supposed to be a minority group that's discriminated against too? Why do most of us seem to lack the fucking self-awareness to apply that understanding of discrimination to other minority groups and empathise with them??

@buncube @ErisNixie tbh it feels like an echo chamber effect, where people that usually would be try more understanding of BIPOC struggles unfortunately end up doing shit like this because the entire space around them tells them and rewards them to do so, among other things.

like, in queer fedi areoh is seen as this evil queerphobic person even if he's queer himself, and trying to question the narrative risks you of social exclusion... which can be really really bad if queer fedi was one of the places you called home

@SnugglyBunne @ErisNixie if queer fedi really has it the fuck out for me for speaking out against this, then so be it
@SnugglyBunne @ErisNixie i don't need this place, i don't need anyone here

i'm here because i choose to be here and i want the space to express myself

but i have supportive irl friends, i have supportive family, i don't need a goddamn thing here

if people really want me on their shitlist, they can come at me
