House committee asks Discord, Valve, Twitch and Reddit to testify on online radicalization - Lemmy.World

Always fun to watch completely inept people asking tech questions

So they want to ban porn, tighten restrictions on online communities, reduce access to medical care (meaning fewer opportunities to detect mental health struggles early and maybe start working on coping skills or pharmaceutical interventions), cut down programs that provide food for the hungry, and wreck the economy to push more people out of their jobs. Unless you can fire them for being too black, too woman or too gay first, that is.

The difference between burning and explosion is pressure.

Sounds like the Republican agenda that’s been around for decades to me.
They just haven’t been this successful at it in a while. Forgot to mention the part about kicking popular entertainers off the air for hurting the feelings of the Republican people so that’s another relief valve being closed off.

Valve

They’re gonna end up having Steam Forum transcripts they are gonna show and ask about and that’s gonna be wild.

Oh, so NOW they are concerned about “radicalization”?

I guess it doesn’t count as radicalization when their Orange Jesus and pals organized an insurrection in plain sight back in late 2020 and early 2021?

Great opportunity for all of them to highlight the MAGA infestation that’s breeding far right terrorists on their platforms. Oh, those weren’t the radicals they were looking for? Weird those seem to be the only ones there, better luck next time.
