Not going to bother digging back through assorted archives to pin down the moment, but all this #MAGA #SturmundDrang comes down to that '80s-'90s #Rightwing panic attack that basically boiled down to:

"Don't you *ever* say *anything* that makes white people feel bad about being white!!"

Everything beyond that is all frosting, layered on again and again and again...
