I have an armload of vaccines (well, two armloads, actually) and an array of bandaids.
I'm furious that there's a deadline for this, almost certainly.
And since Trump's removed insurance subsidies, I won't be able to afford insurance at all next year, so I had to hurry to get the first shingles shot to make time before the end of the year for the second one.
@mehitobel The second shingles shot floored me for three days, fyi. utterly brutal. way better than the agony my friend who *got* shingles was in, but still something to prepare for.
I hate this world we live in, where things like vaccines are suddenly up in the air. this isn't the future they promised us
@scannerdarkly Agreed; I feel like I have to check the news every 10 minutes to see if something's still legal or how much it's going to cost at that moment. Destabilized as fuck.
Thankfully I had no side effects this time despite my 3-vax cocktail. Just hella muscle pain at the shingles injection site, but some part of me is typically injured at any given moment so I'm used to pain.
Thanks for the heads-up about Shot 2, I'll be ready. I am VERY SCARED of shingles.
