The Norwegian state broadcaster NRK uses the usual browser based systems to deliver its content.

I don't like using browser based streaming services for many reasons and particularly not for listening to radio streams. I prefer to find links to allow me to play media in VLC.

Fortunately the NRK makes this easy as they have a page with links to streams that can be played in standalone media players.
