...because we're not here to reproduce the status quo

@paulfree14 A good idea and one I support in principle.

But perhaps don't start with harvesting emails as that's something that could easily be abused.

@natecull good point, but I like to be able to describe by myself with e-mail to something I like to be notified.
though this is the simples way to reach out. other suggestions?

@paulfree14 Perhaps start with a web page describing your concept and how you hope people will use it. Maybe allow people to post semi-anonymously so they can get a sense for who is participating and what services are being offered before deciding what level of private contact details to share.
