It’s never about the thing that needs to get done.
It was, till it was put off and ignored so many times that it became about that instead.
Anyone willing to do it themselves wasn’t asking for help because they needed the help, they wanted the help, so the ask is less about the help and far more about the helping, if that makes sense.
